About Us

Our Story

Founded in 1957, the club was established to develop excellence in single sculling while fostering a strong community of rowers across all levels of the sport. Traditionally, members represented their individual clubs when racing singles and came together to compete as Tideway Scullers crews in larger boat classes.

For nearly four decades, Tideway Scullers has maintained an exceptional record of achievement, with club members selected to represent Great Britain at international level every year since 1984. Today, the club continues to support athletes from beginner to elite standard, helping them reach their full potential on both the national and international stage

Our Mission

At Tideway Scullers School, our mission is to:

  • Develop crews capable of competing and succeeding on the international stage.

    We are pleased to offer racking for our members at the following prices:

    Single: £13/month

    Double/Pair: £26/month

  • Erg Room

    Our erg room includes views of the Tideway, sliding doors, fans, and Concept 2 ergos.

  • Machines

    Our equipment includes Concept 2 RowErgs, Concept 2 BigeErgs, on Concept 2 SkiErg, and several RowPerfects.

  • Gym

    Our gym is a fully-equipped weights room situated downstairs.
